| As a fourth generation, life-long resident
of Washita County, Ryan McMullen has a vested interest in seeing
our area prosper. He will work to create an environment in which
our young people have the quality jobs that will allow them
to build their lives right here in Western Oklahoma. It is in
this spirit that he has stepped forward to fight for the survival
of our small towns and small schools.
McMullen works in economic development, most recently as
Director of the El Reno Chamber of Commerce and Development
Corporation. He is an Agricultural Economics graduate of Oklahoma
State University, where he graduated with honors and as a
Top Ten Senior Man. McMullen has also been employed with KTJS
Radio in Hobart and the state legislature’s agriculture
and rural development committees. He and his family also run
a small cow/calf operation on the same farm that has been
in the family for four generations.
Today Ryan’s activities include serving as adult advisor
for the Washita County 4-H Teen Leaders and Chairman of Washita
County Democratic Party. He volunteers for the United Way,
Relay for Life, and Main Street programs. He is a member of
Rotary, Farm Bureau, Farmers’ Union, Oklahoma Cattlemen’s
Association, Leadership Canadian County, and the Burns Flat
Chamber of Commerce. He attends the Burns Flat Church of Christ.
